    You don't even get what you pay for

    For $70 would have expected a better quality product than this. Cheaply made product - sensitivity for detecting gas poor. Just to make sure it worked I had to hold over the gas burner on the stove fully on for more than 5 seconds before it detected gas. Not suitable for detecting small gas leaks to my mind.

    Just got the unit,, inserted battery an away i went,checked stove top gas fittings for leaks,checked gas oven for leaks all came back negative,no leaks checked unit again by turning on gas ring without lighting and detector went off ,so its working ok.checked barbie which had a leak quick fix re checked ok.

    Poor quality

    The battery cover is difficult to install with the batteries inserted. The tongue on the cover snapped off trying to fit the cover back on the appliance. Gastools sent me a replacement cover.

    I got this gas detector to check my BBQ bottle, It's easy to use, seems to work well I have had it about 3 weeks.. I quickly check my bottle every time I turn BBQ on now because it so quick to use. Paul Bunbury WA
